This a new section to our offerings. My father, Louis le Landre de Fairierre Hyams, has been a knife maker since the 1950's. The majority of his pieces are one of a kind commissions designed to fit the style and personality of the individual person it was intended for.

Following his example and in collaboration with him we have started to offer Sgian Dubhs with the definitive 'Original Piper's Pen' style. These are made in Ebony with antler mounts, a Labradourite stone, sterling silver and Damascus steel blades, leather sheath. We also have an 'airplane safe' model that has an ebony blade and is very lightweight for hose wear. Manchester P/S Mike McNintch models below next to the graves of Calum Piobair and grandson in Laggan, Scotland across the Spey from Catlodge.

Examples of Louis le Landre's work are below: top - Whitetail deer antler with carbon steel blade and leather sheath in an historic Scottish Chatelaine woman's hunting knife configuration; middle - beautiful reclaimed antique ivory with sterling silver and carbon steel blade and leather knotwork sheath; bottom - Raebuck (roe deer) antler with carbon steel blade, wood and leather sheath with sterling silver metalwork.
