an American-born singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Collier grew up in Thailand and Bavaria. A world musician in the truest sense, his practical experience ranges from spending summers with the Ga tribe in West Africa studying Ghanaian drumming to hiking the Highlands and Islands of Northwest Scotland learning ancient Gaelic musical traditions such as the Highland bagpipe and lilting. His primary teachers have been Ga drum master Yacub Addy, Sitar and Sarod with Veena Chandra, Great Highland Bagpipe with PM D.F.Lindsay and Flamenco guitar with Maria Zemantauski. Collier tours internationally and works with highly regarded artists in a variety of genres. He has worked with Jaron Lanier, Will Calhoun (Living Colour), Sean Lennon, Duncan Sheik, Sussan Deyhim, Shirin Neshat, noted film composer Richard Horowitz, performance artist Laurie Anderson, Julia 'Duka' Heyward and many others including touring as a member of the Neil Anderson group, Rathkeltair and the International Dub Corps. His live performance credits include appearances at the Montreux Jazz Festival and bagpipe with The Chieftains. His vision is 50 Man Machine.
