The performance installation environment experience:

50-Man-Machine began as an installation and performance art piece made of cardboard boxes in a dingy basement. At the door, each visitor was greeted by a schizophrenic "game show host" that politely smiled, then forcefully wrapped them in a soiled mechanics jumpsuit and then quickly directed each into a long low and uncomfortable tunnel furnished with horizontal ladders, monopoly money, IOU bills, and a barage of multi-channel video and sound. The work expressed concern - student debt, quality of education, stolen/misplaced identity, hope for the future and, in the end, freedom.
